Delivery Systems

We specialize in the design and production of highly precise delivery system components.  Our wide range of production capabilities allow us to carry out secondary operations for all kinds of components involved in complex delivery systems, including multi-lumen extrusions, multi-durometer smooth transitions, braided shafts, and more.

Switchback Medical prototypes are completely tested for conformity with our client’s standards.  Through our efficient assembly processes, our dedicated team of engineers are able to determine and solve potential issues before production kicks off.

Delivery system capabilities:

  • Custom processing of high temp engineering plastics: PEEK, fluoropolymers (ETFE, FEP, PTFE)

  • Tipping

  • Forming

  • Flaring

  • Precision marker band placement

  • Hole-drilling

  • Durometer transitions

  • Electrode assembly

  • Reinforced tubing and shafts

  • Component level assemblies

  • Bonding dissimilar materials

  • Micro molding

  • Over molding

  • Device introducers

  • Forming

  • Obturators

  • Tube bending with all thermoplastics and many metals

  • Stent delivery sheaths

  • Delivery systems for stent grafts, self-expanding stents, & heart valves

Modifications for Any Complexity

At Switchback Medical we work with several polymer materials and are experienced with tipping & flaring any thermoplastic such as HDPE, LDPE, PVC, Pebax, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Pellethane, PFA, FEP, PEEK, PTFE, ULTEM, and composites.

Low-High Volume Production

Our unique capabilities allow us to scale production costs for all component orders — in large or small quantities. This also includes modifications and enhancements to already existing components, as well as custom build components at low costs and fast turnaround.

Quality and Product Consistency

Our product development processes are fully documented from original prototypes to pilot production to full-scale manufacturing.  Our Quality System is ISO 13485 certified and our procedures support validation protocol IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation.
